Boehner Praises Bipartisan Amtrak Reform Bill

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement on the House passage of H.R. 749, The Passenger Rail Reform and Investment Act of 2015:

"This sensible package of reforms will make for a more reliable national passenger rail service -- and make sure that Amtrak spends taxpayers' money in a more responsible way. Chairman Shuster, and the bipartisan coalition he assembled, should be commended for supporting legislation to cut waste, increase transparency, streamline project reviews -- and, most importantly, rebuild infrastructure to help our economy grow and create more American jobs."
